In his role, Nate collaborates with senior leadership to deliver strategic insights, financial reporting, and systems integration that strengthen AREP’s financial operations and investment execution.
Prior to joining AREP, Nate served as Senior Controller at Smoot Construction, where he directed and oversaw the company’s financial strategy and reporting, strategic collaboration, and external partnerships. Nate also held senior roles at Rand Construction and HITT Contracting, where he directed financial reporting, implemented business intelligence tools, and led corporate audits and compliance. He began his career in the wine industry before transitioning into construction and real estate.
Nate earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a Minor in Business Administration from Frostburg State University and is an active member of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA).
